About the Sacrament

“I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give is my flesh for the life of the world.”  Jn 6:51

“The Eucharist is the source and summit of the Christian life.  The other sacraments, and indeed all ecclesiastical ministries and works of the apostolate, are bound up with the Eucharist and are oriented toward it.  For in the blessed Eucharist is contained the whole spiritual good of the Church, namely Christ himself….  The liturgy of the Word and liturgy of the Eucharist together form one single act of worship; The Eucharistic table set for us is the table both of the Word of God and of the Body of the Lord.”  Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1324, 1346

The celebration of the Mass, at which Jesus nourishes us with his Word and with his Body and Blood, is the center of our parish life.

Have a mass Offered

The Masses celebrated at St. Charles Parish may be offered for your intentions–for any person or persons, living or deceased–and we have beautiful Mass cards available. To have a Mass offered for someone, please contact the parish office. The suggested donation is $10.

First Holy Communion

St. Charles Parish offers sacramental preparation to bring people to God’s grace through the sacraments. If you are looking for your child to receive his or her First Holy Communion, register in our Religious Education program, or contact Mariah Naegele at mnaegele@stcharleschurch.org.

If you are an adult looking to receive your First Holy Communion, register for the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA).
