LECTIO DIVINA

The “Lectio Divina” (the “Divine Lesson”) is a way of practicing mental prayer using the Sacred Scriptures: it enables an intimate conversation between us and Jesus, as we speak to him from the heart and listen to him speak to us through his inspired word.

The Bible is not simply an account of things that happened many years ago: God still speaks to us through his word–especially when we prayerfully meditate it, opening our souls to a dynamic encounter with him.
